Picture of Stone House sitting room Markdale is the family property of the Australian polo-playing Ashton brothers who developed it from the 1930s. It's situated in NSW, 80 kms (an hour's drive) north-west of Goulburn, or one and a half hour's drive from Canberra or 30 minutes from Crookwell.

In the gardenMarkdale's five acre award-winning garden and rambling homestead are a remarkable mirror of the elegance of the decades stretching from the '30s to the present.

Guests stay in the original 1850's 'Stone Houses'and 'Shearers Quarters', part of a working sheep and cattle station in the hills of the Great Dividing Range. Markdale is the real thing and you can be part of it.
